Irisbond, award winner at the “Accessible Europe: ICT 4 ALL” awards
Innovative Digital Solutions Competition for an Accessible Europe
The technology company Irisbond was awarded a prize at the European Forum “Accessible Europe: ICT 4 ALL”, held last week in Malta.
This second edition of the event, which counted on the participation of over 81 projects from 17 EU countries, saw the Spanish company Irisbond, –a pioneer in assistive technologies thanks to the first peripheral free eye-tracking software-become the only Spanish technology company to receive a prize in the category “Best solution for persons with speech impairments”, awarded for its cutting-edge technology and the solution’s values in terms of innovation, success and inclusion, improving quality of life for people with disabilities.
“We are proud to receive this prestigious European award and to be recognised for the work we have been developing for many years with the sole aim of bringing technology closer to society, truly improving people’s quality of life. The technology behind our Irisgo device opens a window to the world for people with disabilities, allowing them to exercise their fundamental right to communication, which is denied to them if they do not have the necessary technology,”says Eduardo Jáuregui, founder of Irisbond
IrisGo, the device that advocates inclusive communication
Irisbond used the forum to showcase its improved IrisGo device, which integrates the first eye-tracking software manufactured and developed entirely in Spain. Thanks to assisted communication, directly applying Irisbond systems in persons with disabilities and, more specifically, in persons with reduced mobility, allows patients to communicate freely and autonomously with their environment, giving them freedom and independence. Irisbond focuses on developing systems based on eye-tracking technology that can be applied in a range of sectors, including accessibility, industrial integration, and scientific applications with an international scope.
