In this event, we will focus on a training session for professionals on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) at different stages of training.
 
The English company Inclusive Technology, a leader in AAC software at an international level, will be present at the training.
 
Their analysis activities within the learning curve for training in control by the gaze are the most popular in centres for children with a cognitive impairment.
 
The training session is aimed at professionals (pedagogues, occupational therapists, specialised centres, etc.) and we will offer two training levels: initial and advanced.
INITIAL LEVEL TRAINING
Teacher: Mónica Leiva. Expert AAC therapist in La Fábrica de Palabras. She has extensive experience in SAAC therapies, particularly with girls with Rett Syndrome.
 
For whom: Professionals starting out in AAC.
 
Content
 
Theoretical area: suitable methodology for therapies using different current SAACs.
 
Practical area: various practical activities using Inclusive Technology games, designed to advance the learning curve of users with cognitive impairment.
 
Software/programmes that we are going to use: Inclusive TechnologyGrid.
ADVANCED LEVEL TRAINING:
Teacher: Sol Solís.
 
Director of La Fábrica de Palabras, leading figure in AAC therapies and in the Spanish ISAAC community at an international level.
 
For whom: Advanced professionals with experience in AAC therapies.
 
Content
 
Theoretical are: internalise the key points so that the user’s natural environment form part of the SAAC therapies.
 
Practical area: modeling the methodology that they have already mastered using Inclusive Technology games, designed to advance the learning curve of users with cognitive impairment and the natural environment.
 
Software/programmes that we are going to use: Inclusive Technology and Grid3.
ITINERARY
Theoretical area
10:00-11:00 – Event presentation by IT and Irisbond for all attendees.
 
11:00-11:30 – Coffee/tea break.
 
11:30-13:30 – Theoritcal area divided by level, in two separate classrooms.
 
13:30-15:00 – Brunch-Lunch.
 
Practical area
15:00-18:00 – Practical area
